Clown Parade
(Inspired by Anne Zander)
TL;DR: Four clowns line up on a stage, each with a different status (first place - last place). Working as a unit, the clowns cross the stage in a “parade” while embodying their status. The game ends when each clown has a chance to perform every status.
What muscles we’re working: sharing focus, contrast, playing with status.
Directions:
Four clowns line up on one side of the stage.
Facilitator assigns each clown a status: first place, second place, third place, last place.
Clowns listen to faciltator explain the goal, which is to cross the stage together as a unit while a song plays.
When the song begins, the clowns cross the stage.
When the song changes, the clowns switch statuses and cross the stage again. (First place will become last place, Last place becomes third place, and so on).
The game ends when all four clowns have a chance to embody each status.
If time allows, clowns will pair off at the end and in front of the audience, do a pair share with one clown from the parade.
