JUST THE TIP: alt-comedy by clowns (feat. DJ VELVET CONK)
Just the Tip is a live alt-comedy showcase featuring Denver’s boldest underground clowns as they test out fresh material before their runs at the 2025 Denver Fringe Festival.
If you prefer your comedy weird, fearless, and a bit unhinged, this is the place to be.
✨ 🤡 🪐
Featuring:
• Meat Show in Space (Alice Gillette)
• Featherbrain (Madly Rosett)
• Mortisse (Kii Clark)
• The Heart of Circinus (Blake and Melo)
With live music by Caroline Krantz, Bryan Richard Martin and Jesse.
After the show, let loose at the clown dance party, with DJ VELVET CONK spinning funk and punk while host Alissa Ahlberg hands out prizes in the following categories:
best costume
best makeup
best clown crew
In a country run by clowns, you might as well party with the good ones 🤡

STATE OF THE ART: new works in progress from Denver’s weirdos and freaks
State of the Art is a live alt-comedy clown show fueled by your suggestions.
Our host grabs ideas from an on-stage suggestion box and challenges each performer (whether Denver Fringe-bound or under the radar) to spin your feedback into instant comedy.
You don’t just watch the chaos, you drive it: cheer, gasp or cringe to raise the stakes and shape every twist.
Expect sharp slapstick, surreal riffs and pure unpredictability.
Featuring Alice Gillette (Meat Show), Madly Rosett (Featherbrain), Blake & Melo (The Heart of Circinus), Sonnie and more.

Meat Show in Space (Denver Fringe Festival)
On his first day aboard a trash-collecting space station under NASA’s iron grip, Meat Show cracks his helmet during his inaugural space walk— what a butterfingers! With oxygen running low and a final wish on his lips, he pleads with the audience (aka "the stars") for one last chance to return to his beloved, earthly Babe as a high-value hero.
While gasping for air (and for more wishes), Meat Show begins to realize that true love might cost him everything.
In this unhinged twist on Aesop’s Fables, Meat Show must decide if the power of authentic connection is worth defying a system that will stop at nothing to keep him in line. Fueled by a live, pulsating score, Meat Show’s odyssey through the cosmos challenges all Earthlings to ask: why does all of this matter… matter?
Blending incisive social commentary with offbeat clowning, Meat Show in Space is a subversive, post-apocalyptic alt-comedy that’s as absurd as it is sincere.
